I finally made it! After months of house hunting, and several more months preparing to depart Greensboro, my humble abode of seven magical years, I have arrived safe & sound to my new home in Asheville. This place is amazing! I can see mountains from my bedroom window, and for some reason, I can’t stop smiling. I’ve been here for four days now, and I’ve already met some new friends, soon to be classmates & colleagues, and have already been introduced to a cheap and delicious taco place near West Asheville! Also, everything is already unpacked. I had to make it pretty cozy as soon as I could, just for the sheer enjoyment of calling it home–and home it will be for the next four years while I am attending Daoist Traditions! I am so thankful for my parents who have helped me and taught me many valuable lessons in becoming a homeowner; my friends for their unwavering support and love in the moving/moving on process, the patients that I have come to know and love from working at a clinic in Greensboro for the past two years, my colleagues from WHEC and lastly, my cat boys, Syd & Bert–they’ve been so great this entire (stressful) time, I think they deserve some fancy wet food ASAP. I’m going to begin the great job hunt at the end of the month. The next two weeks, however, are for me! A little R&R has been well overdue!
